31 weeks

Well, it's almost Thursday again before I have a chance to post... I'm not sure what went on Monday. I had an allergist appointment and came home to be a vegetable. Ryan made burgers for supper, and I was in bed by 8:30. Yesterday I had a dinner date with Ashely Saffell and I had a great time as usual. It is amazing how you can find those few friends in your life and how easy it is to pick up right were you left off. So I came home and again was in bed by 9. Tonight Ryan's changing my oil and I'm relaxing. Tomorrow I have my last 4 week appointment and then starts the 2 week appointments. I called the doctor today to see if the doctor was still seeing patience as she is due on Friday. I have questions about vaccinations as well as something else I wrote down today but can't remember. Good thing I wrote it down :)
2 more days until we get to go home! My baby shower is this Saturday and I can't wait to see everyone! Only a few more things we need and one of the most important being cloth diapers. I have some on their way hopefully soon (21 of them.) We've decided to do prefolds (like grandma used to do) and covers. I have also thought about using flour sacks and a cover, but Ryan said he won't. I'm kind of excited about using them. I know I don't want to while her poop is still in the newborn stage, so we're using our stock of newborn diapers and then moving onto the cloth. I have a few other things I need to get to be ready for the cloth since you can't use regular diaper rash cream. And we need a trash can for her room to put the diapers in, and a bag to keep in the diaper bag for those longer trips.
Raelynn moved non stop today! She was kicking high, low, and all over the place. I text Ryan today and he said she didn't want to be at school. I didn't want to be at school either, although it was a good day.
I hope everyone has a great rest of the week! It's almost over.

30 weeks...and its been rough!

It's Thursday and I usually try and do this on Monday, but it has been a CRAZY week! I'm not actually sure what I did Monday night but I know we had supper late and neither one of us was really hungry. I think I came home and became a couch potato. I got started into a book Sunday night and couldn't put it down and didn't go to bed until after 11!
Tuesday night we had our infant care class at the hospital. It was good and it was nice to have a refresher as to what you're supposed to do. There were a few things she talked about (immunizations, cribs, and car seats) that I know we will do different than what is recommended, but ultimately it is what is best for you and your baby.
Last night, I came home and became a couch potato again. I didn't even cook! Ryan cooked on the grill. It didn't help that Tuesday night was also a late night because the class went until 9 and that doesn't put us home until 9:30 or so and in bed by a little after 10.
So, I feel like I've been snapping at my kids at school and that every little thing is getting on my nerves. I know I'm tired and pregnant though, and I hope that goes away soon! If I could afford to take a day off, tomorrow would be it, or even today.
Rae is still moving around a bunch and stretching all the time. She definitely lets me know if I'm squishing her! (Which she doesn't like.) Most days it feels like she is balled up at the very top of my stomach and won't scoot down! It is worse after I eat. I go back to the doctor for my last 4 week appointment next week and I may not even see my doctor depending on if she has had her baby. The 2 week appointments start after that and I think I have about 2 of those and then start the every week appointments. I'm very curious to find out the measurements of my belly to see if she is right on track or not.
This weekend we're just relaxing. Ryan said he might go fishing Sunday and I need to go get some wine for a bachlorette party! Next weekend is the big baby shower and bachlorette party! I can't wait to see all of my family and friends. It has been way too long for some of them! And most of them have not seen me this pregnant.
Well, I better get busy with work. I hope all have a good rest of the week and enjoy the nice weather!!!

29 weeks

I can't believe our little girl will be here in about 11 weeks. We're ready for the most part. Cloth diapers and a gate is all we need before she gets here. I put all of her clothes away this past weekend. Her dresser drawers (6) are full!!! After Ryan looked at her closet, he said she would need another shelf to hang clothes on! Yep, she is spoiled already! I've been thinking a lot lately about how much our lives will change the day she arrives. We ask the dogs all the time what they are going to do when their sister arrives. There are so many things going through my mind about when she will be here, what things will be like, and so much more! She will grace us with her presence at just the right time!
She has been doing a lot more moving lately all times of the day. I still find it crazy that when Ryan comes to sit next to me or watches my belly she quits moving. Wonder if she will be shy like her Momma...
This past weekend we relaxed around the house, had friends for supper, cleaned vehicles, and cleaned Raelynn's toys and seats. It was a good job done! I can't imagine our living room full of her things! :) Yesterday I had a breastfeeding class. It was very interesting and comforting to know the nurses and lactation consultant will be there to help in the process. Next will be an infant care class and a birthing class. Both of which I am very excited for! The rest of the week will be spent just working and relaxing! This coming weekend I don't think we have much planned either. Maybe a date night!

I hope everyone has a good week!

2/3rds of the way there!!!

Today, I'm 28 weeks, and just beginning my 3rd trimester!!! I can't believe our little girl will be here in a little less than 3 months!
At the doctor on Thursday, things went well. I've only gained 18 pounds so far, measured just right, and Raelynn's heart rate was 145. The doctor could feel her moving around while she was trying to get a heart rate. She has been all over the place. For the first time this week, Raelynn has been up in my ribs which is definitely an uncomfortable feeling!
Last week was much less stressful. Finally feeling good about my schedule and students. Now I just have to focus on my lesson plans. I also found a long term sub and I think she is going to be great!
We spent this past weekend at home. It was wonderful! Everyone was wanting to feel Rae move, and she didn't move much at all. But this morning and right now, she is jumping around like crazy! So I'm not sure if it was all of the walking or talking I did that calmed her, but she wasn't wanting to show off for anyone! We spent Saturday hanging out a shopping. I got some awesome maternity clothes from one of Mom's coworkers! We had a BBQ at Grandmas, and it was nice to see everyone. Sunday I got to hang out with one of my best friends ALL day! It was so nice to see Ashley and hang out with her. We went to the flea market, fixed a few things for Grandma, worked on baby shower invitations, looked through baby clothes, ate, and ate, and ate! Oh, and we got to fire the pistols! It was a great, much needed weekend!!!
This week I think we're attending a birthing class and a breastfeeding class. I'm excited to get to know more about what will happen in the next 3 months.

I hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend and has a great short week!!!
