27 weeks

Last week of the 2nd trimester! 13 weeks to go!!
This past week I made it through the first week of school. It was stressful, but successful! By Friday I had met and worked with all of my students, and am looking forward to learning a lot from them!
This week also gave me the worst heartburn I've ever had. Tums, milk, and aloe Vera juice were my best friends! The other thing that started this week were Charley horses. One night I had one in each leg and couldn't get out of bed. So, being on my feet all day in any shoe but a tennis shoe is not good. Ryan did a lot of cooking this week.
I have continued feeling Raelynn all over. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of my belly jumping out of the corner of my eye! :) It is the best feeling in the world! Ryan finally felt her, but he said barely. For some reason, as soon as he sits next to me, she stops moving. I don't feel like I've gotten much bigger in the last few weeks, but I'm sure my pictures say otherwise. I am also feeling some Braxton Hicks Contractions throughout the day.
This week is my last monthly doctors appointment. After this one, I'll be seeing the doctor every 2 weeks. I can't believe I'm almost a third of the way done! I can't believe we'll be seeing our little girl in about 3 months! I asked Ryan tonight if he was ready for Raelynn to be here, and he said he's ready to spoil her! She will certainly be daddy's little girl!

Hope everyone has a great week!

26 weeks

Well, this was the first week of school and it has been a bit stressful. But with a new routine and new students, it is to be expected. With the stress of school has come the worst heartburn/indigestion I've ever had. And I'm sure Raelynn isn't helping it any. :)
She is doing well. I am definitely feeling her kick more and all over. Some times I feel her high and low, and sometimes I feel her from side to side. I was wondering tonight if maybe it's her butt bumping me in the side. :) I've also been thinking that I hope she doesn't get tangled up in there with all of the moving she's been doing. There is no rhyme or reason to her movement either. Sometimes it's early in the morning when I first get up, sometimes it's when I'm going to bed, and sometimes its during the day.
I have finally hit the single digits as to how many days we have left until she gets here. 97 days today, 14 weeks, 3 months. So depends on how you look at it, it seems like we have a long ways to go, and another way you look at it, it seems like we don't have much time at all. My mom and dad were cracking me up this weekend planning butchering and things like that around Raelynn. Makes it so much more real!
I hope everyone has a great week!

25 Weeks

This is the week I go back to work. I'm not sure how I'm going to make it without my naps, guess I'll have to come home and take a SHORT one. Today and Tuesday are my last days to relax and then its off to meetings and finishing up my classroom. I am glad it is finally here. It has been nice to relax, but getting back on a routine will be nice, plus I think time will go by fast.
Last Wednesday I got a call and said I failed the 1 hour glucose test for gestational diabetes. My blood sugar was at a 147. So I went in on Thursday for the 3 hour test. They drew blood when I first got there, I drank the drink, waited an hour, had blood drawn, waited another hour, had blood drawn, and waited the final hour, and had blood drawn. They called me Friday late afternoon and told me my blood sugars were right where they wanted them. Yea! The doctor wanted me to keep eating a healthy diet. I think my first 1 hour test was high because I ate a foot long Subway sandwich for lunch! It was delicious, but I will not be making that mistake again.
We went Saturday to Aunt Patsy and Uncle Billy's and got Raelynn's crib! It is one she used for her own children that she got from the farm. She had the old one I used when I was a baby, but it was shorter to the ground and the mattress was not adjustable. The sides on her bed slide up and down. I know there are regulations against them making those cribs anymore, but I think it will work just fine. I don't anticipate her being in there for very long, and she will learn that when it is time to sleep, she needs to lay down and sleep. So while Ryan was downstairs working on putting in some cabinets, I put her crib together! It is BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to get my bedding and finish it!
While we were at Aunt Patsy's, Aunt Betty was there. She had tons of girl clothes, a exersaucer, bottles, and more! Yesterday I went through her clothes and picked out the 0-3 months that she will be able to wear and am in the process of washing them. I have lots of hangers, but can't decide where I want to put her clothes. In the dresser, or in her closet. So I've put quite a bit of jammies and things in her dresser and hung up the onesies and dresses.
Her room is almost done! I have butterflies to put on the walls yet, and probably some of the Disney pictures. Now we're just waiting for her to get here!

I hope everyone has a great week!

24 weeks

Wow! Week 23 went by fast! Not that I did a ton, but my classroom is ready and I did WAY too much lifting. I'm still a bit sore. Ryan helped me on Saturday move all of my boxes from home to school and unpack them. I have 2 boxes left! And they are small.
I had a check up appointment on Friday. Raelynn is doing great. Growing normally. The doctor had a difficult time finding her heart rate because she was hiding behind my vessel. But when she did find it, it was at about 132, which is normal; however, it has slowed down. I have also gained 7 pounds in the last 4 weeks. YIKES! So 17 overall, but a little over half way to the normal 30 pounds, and a little over half way to delivery! That was the worst pregnancy symptom last month, was feeling like I was hungry ALL THE TIME! It has gotten better now. I am working on getting enough water/liquid. I'm usually thirsty about 7:30 at night and when I drink, it makes me get up in the middle of the night and have to pee.
This week I'm just hanging out, relaxing. I went yesterday with my cousin to Kansas to drop a load of fertilizer. Today I am going to hang out with some girl friends. Tomorrow we are going to lunch as a South East group! And Saturday we're hopefully going to pick up our crib!!! I can't wait to finish getting Rae's room ready!
I hope everyone has a great week!

23 weeks

She is definitely moving around more! Last night she was going crazy! Her daddy still hasn't felt her yet. :( I am still hungry about 24/7. I've been trying to eat healthy snacks that are good for Rae. That seems to be the only symptom I've been feeling. Besides my feet killing me! I'm not sure how I'm going to make it 8 hour days on my feet. I guess I'll be coming home to soak my feet!
This weekend we went home to see family, and she became spoiled before she even gets here! Her closet is pretty much full! She has cloth diapers to wear that are too cute! I can't wait until she gets here!
This week is the last week before I spend almost every day in my classroom getting it ready. Tuesday is my first shower and a get together with the South East Gang! I can't wait to see everyone before school starts! Friday is my doctor appointment where I have to do the glucose test. Hoping it goes well. Friday is also the first day we can get into the building and into our classrooms. Ryan and I will be spending Saturday unpacking all of my crap from home and taking it to school. Hopefully we can get it done this weekend and not have to go back. Not a ton to unpack, but it is figuring out where exactly I want to put everything.

Have a great week everyone!
